In 2007 Scouting celebrated its centenary year and now in 2010 it’s the turn of the Scout Groups in Bicester and Banbury to celebrate 100 years of Scouting in our area, with the first groups, including the Heyford Scout troop, registering in May 1910. To mark this anniversary the two districts will be running a joint camp, to be held at the Horley Scout Campsite near Banbury.
The camp will be open to Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and will be over the weekend of 2nd – 4th July. If Beavers wish to camp they will need to be accompanied by an adult at a ratio of 1 adult for every 2 Beavers. The leaders will all be running activities and can not be the adult responsible for any beaver other than their own child. Adults sleeping over at camp MUST have a CRB form and if you intend to join us at camp and do not yet have a valid CRB please see any leader for a form, but don’t leave it to late. The cost for this camp is still to be confirmed but we need to know how many will be attending. Letters will be sent home soon but keep the date free.

Auditions have given us a variety of acts and there will be a vote on the night to select the top entertainer. After the awards have been made it’s time for the after show party.
